January 2, 2012

I can't believe that it's been so long since I last posted. Really I can't believe that I'm up at 5:45 am updating this when I should be sound asleep.

2011 was a busy year for me. I just checked and found that I did 21 shows last year. Everything from book signings to county fairs and this year I plan to do even more. My new book, "The Right Side of the River" should be finished within the next month or two. We are already making plans to photograph the cover, using the same bridge that was used for "Wrong Side of the River." The big difference will be, this time instead of a little boy on the end of the bridge, I'll be standing in uniform in the center of the bridge with a patrol SUV behind me with the emergency lights flashing. I plan to be shinning a flashlight down toward the water. The picture will probably be taken from the water level, looking up toward me.What do you think? Will it draw interest?

This first edition will sell out really fast, so if you'd like to reserve a copy, please email me. Thank you and have a blessed 2012.

UPDATE January 2011

It's been awhile since I updated my blog, so here is the latest news. I officially retired from the police department in December 2009 and I did events throughout the year. 2010 was my busiest year yet. Not only did I sell my book "Wrong Side of the River" but my company, Misty Peak Publishing represented books by other Idaho authors as well. To round out the book sales, I also added our own line of jewelry that took Misty Peak to new levels.

I'm currently at about the 50% stage of writing my new book (a sequel to my first book.) I hope to have it finished and ready to publish by spring of 2011. Stay tuned for updates.

Jerome County Fair - Jerome, Idaho

I've been doing book signings for four years, but having a booth for a week at a county fair will be a first for me. The dates are August 4th through the 8th. Stop by, buy a book and help me pay for the booth space, electricity, inspection fee and $500,000.00 in liability insurance that is required. If it works out and I turn a profit, I may do more.

Mmmm, I wonder how many books I'll have to sell to break even?

Shoshone Art in the Park Shoshone, Idaho

I was sick last year and missed this show but plan to be there this year. The dates for the event: July 11th and 12th., 2009. Bette Jennings will be there autographing her two books and I'll have a booth right beside her. Stop by and say hi.

Melba Fourth of July Melba, Idaho

I will be at Melba 4th of July with my book, "Wrong Side of the River" as well as books by other local authors. This is your chance to pick up an autographed copy. I'll be on location in the vendor area all day and well after the fireworks ends.

If you've read Wrong Side of the River stop by and tell me what you think of it. If you didn't like it, too bad...you're not getting your money back! Ha
